Volunteer Opportunities

The AAOE annual meeting program is outstanding because members like you share your expertise, pearls and tips. Each year, we offer a wide range of new courses that speak to the most current practice management challenges members face. New to teaching courses? No problem. We can pair you with seasoned presenters to help you get started and develop your presentation skills.

You can submit your instruction course each year through AAOE’s submission process. The submitter opens every year on the second Thursday of December and closes on the second Tuesday of January.

AAOE publishes a weekly e-newsletter that offers advice on running a successful practice. AAOE’s consultants and seasoned members often contribute to the newsletter in the form of articles and advice columns. This is a great way to share the wealth of your experience with peers and develop your own communication skills.

Articles must be 500 to 1000 words and focus on essential practice management issue. Here are some topics to consider:

• Becoming a better leader
• Clinic flow and practice efficiency
• Operational and financial advice
• Practice quality improvement
• Staff management
• Tips for burnout and work life balance
• Tips to grow your practice

All articles will be reviewed for acceptance within 5 weeks of submission. All articles are reviewed and edited to comply with Academy style guidelines. Review the AAOE author guidelines [PDF].
